IRON MAIDEN: From Fear To Eternity – Best Of 1990-2010

EMI kündigt die Veröffentlichung von IRON MAIDENs Best Of Album: “From Fear To Eternity: The Best Of 1990 – 2010” an. Die Doppel-CD, die zum Preis einer Einzel-CD in den Läden stehen soll, umfasst die letzten 20 Jahre der Band. Diese Zusammenstellung, welche die Highlights der letzten acht Studioalben zusammenfasst, ist der logische Nachfolger zum 2009er „Somewhere Back In Time“ Werk, welches die Jahre 1980 bis 1990 umfasste.

Allzeit Favoriten sind auf diesem Album zu finden wie auch Songs, welche zur Zeit auf der „The Final Frontier World Tour“ gespielt werden. Songs wie „Fear Of The Dark“, „The Wicker Man“, „Blood Brothers“ und „Dance Of Death“ stehen neben neuen Klassikern, wie „El Dorado“ und dem „When The Wild Wind Blows“. Ebenfalls enthalten sind Singles, wie zum Beispiel „Holy Smoke“ und „Be Quick Or Be Dead“ zusammen mit mehr progressiven und nachdenklich machenden Albumtracks, wie „Afraid To Shoot Strangers“ und „For The Greater Good Of God“.

IRON MAIDENs 2011 “The Final Frontier Tour” ist derzeit auf dem Weg auf einer “Um die Welt in 66 Tagen” Odyssee an Board der Ed Force One, geflogen von Sänger und qualifiziertem Piloten Bruce Dickinson. Kürzlich wurden einige Shows in Australien und zum ersten Mal auch in Singapur, Indonesien und Süd Korea gespielt. Nun sind IRON MAIDEN auf dem Weg nach Mexiko für Konzerte in Monterrey und Mexiko City. Danach werden sie Shows in Südamerika spielen. Ebenso in Argentinien und Chile, wobei beide Shows für eine DVD gefilmt werden, welche später in diesem Jahr veröffentlicht werden soll.

Bassist und Gründungsmitglied Steve Harris sagt:
„The tour has been amazing so far and we’ve been overwhelmed by the reaction from our fans everywhere. We are now on our way to Mexico and South America which the whole band is very excited about!  We really enjoy playing there as the fans are so passionate and we always feel a huge responsibility to put on the best show we possibly can for them. For this tour we have a great set list, a brand new stage show, and of course Eddie!. This leg of the tour ends with two shows in Florida in April, which is another favourite place for us to play, then we’ll be taking a short break before a series of Summer headline Festival and Stadium shows in Europe, finishing up with our first UK Arena tour in many years. It’s a great way to round off what has been an incredible time for Maiden these last few years. We are really looking forward to seeing all our loyal fans again and welcoming all the new ones!”
